Introducing the beloved carousel horse, long cherished for its rich and colorful history at the turn-of-the-twentieth century.
Commissioned by Breyer to commemorate the company's golden anniversary, this exquisite piece was crafted by master sculptor and lifelong Breyer enthusiast, Kathleen Moody.
Attention and thought went into every detail - the "flying" pose expresses enthusiasm, joy and success. The head is lifted, and the horse is neighing, to herald the beginning of a new century. The twisted bridle holds three jewels that tie into the vintage blue ribbon Breyer Animal Creations logo.
The first Breyer carousel horse, this stunning sculpture is made of fine bisque porcelain, and is hand decorated and embellished with gold accents and genuine Swarovski crystals. It sits gently atop an elegant wooden music box, which plays the timeless Carousel Waltz.
